The 12th Annual East African Power Industry Convention (EAPIC) is a platform for energy stakeholders to gain insight into how renewable energy, geothermal and traditional sources can secure power supply for East Africa. The event will be held at the Safari Park Hotel & Casino, in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi on August 31 to September 3. The largest networking power forum for the utility, the government and the private sectors in the East African region, EAPIC attracts decision-makers from Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Malawi and Ethiopia. Regional and international experts will share their views and experiences on infrastructure finance for power generation, transmission and distribution projects in East Africa during a pre-conference seminar. Discussions during the conference proper will focus on how to fasttrack interconnection between countries and the importance of regional power pools in having power security.
